The publication, <em data-start=\"292\" data-end=\"417\">Jozef Ign\u00e1c Bajza, Ren\u00e9, or: A Young Man\u2019s Adventures and Experiences. An edition with commentary of the first Slovak novel<\/em>, is the very first English translation of the first Slovak novel. Bajza\u2019s novel was translated by David Short, an acclaimed British translator of Czech and Slovak.
